Getting here & accessibility

Kuralan Kylämäki is located along the Hämeentie road (main road 10), about 5 kilometres east of Turku city centre.

By bike or walking

The walking distance from the market square is about 5.5-6 kilometres.

Bicycle routes from the city centre follow the Vanha Hämeentie road and main road 10.

By bus

Turku’s bus lines 2, 2A, 2B and 6 run to Kylämäki Village. The nearest stops are Kylämäki (2, 2A and 2B) and Jaanintie (6).

By car

The free car park is located at the corner of Jaanintie and Kuralankatu, opposite the museum.

Charter buses may drop off passengers in front of the Kylämäki workshop (access via Jaanintie) but must then park in the car park at the corner of Jaanintie and Kuralankatu.

Please note that cars are not permitted in the museum area. The parking spaces next to Café Omena ja Kaneli, located within the museum area, are reserved for staff.

Accessible taxis can stop in front of the Kylämäki workshop (access via Jaanintie) and in the in front of Iso-Kohmo house and the café (access via main road 10).

Accessibility

The Kylämäki workshop, Iso-Kohmo house, and the Old Hen House are all accessible.

Accessible toilet facilities are available at the Kylämäki workshop.

Disabled parking is located in the car park next to the café (access via main road 10).

Please note

  • The Kylämäki site is protected under the Antiquities Act.
  • Smoking is only permitted in the designated area at the café’s lilac arbour.
  • Fires and barbecues are not allowed in the museum area.
  • Dogs are permitted on the site but must be kept on a leash at all times.
  • Please help keep our village tidy.
